MINERAL WATER “LJEŠLJANI”: PRESENTATION OF BALNEOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS

Аутори:

Апстракт:
Thermal waters with high alcality (pH > 11), have very specific chemism and genesis, and therefore present real rarity, almost a nature phenommenon. The common characteristic of known waters with high alcality is the low containment of minerals (less than 1g/l), so they are classified as oligomineral waters. These waters are called nitrogenous, because they contain mostly nitrogen, and high alkality does not allow C02 to emerge and stay in these waters. Mineral water "Lješljani" - Novi Grad (Republika Srpska) with pH 11, 85, temperature of 32, 5ºC and mineralisation of 2390 mg/l is very rare mineral water. Taking into consideration chemical & physical analyses, this water is classified as: sodium-chloride - high alkaline homiothermal water (Kurlov formule). To confirm or reject the balneologic characteristics of this water, it is ultimate to investigate it through the clinical and pharmacological study by Good Clinical Practice (GCP) methodology. By the comparison with the other known waters "per analogiam" this water may be successfully used in the treatment of dermatological diseases, urological disorders, rheumatic diseases and posttraumatic conditions.
