Апстракт:
The paper examines the possibility of obtaining biodiesel from unrefined sunflower oil, with the aim of evaluating its potential as a sustainable and renewable energy source. The transesterification process was used to convert unrefined oil into biodiesel, using potassium methoxide as a catalyst. Glycerol was obtained as a by-product in the process of transesterification of unrefined sunflower oil. The physico-chemical characteristics of the input oil and the obtained biodiesel were performed for the purpose of characterization. The results were compared with biodiesel standards in order to assess the quality of the final biodiesel product obtained
